It’s Rodeo Time!
For those of you who have never been to a rodeo, it is not too late. Rodeo Austin is on until Saturday, and there are some great contests and concerts to be enjoyed. Here are a few highlights from this past Saturday.
All the riding, the roping and mutton bustin’ were incredible. All the contestants had great times — 8 seconds means something a little different here.
The one and only – Merle Haggard – had a full house and played some of this classics, including Silver Wings and Okie from Muskogee
The livestock show featured plenty of great animals, including this beauty.
How cute is this? Proof that there are few cowboys left in Austin.
I do not know what to say about this – Scotland meets Texas.
With carnival rides, the livestock show, every conceivable fattening, but delicious food option available, and great concerts, you cannot go wrong with an evening at the rodeo. Go check it out!
