Jessica’s Review:
This series has just the right amount of mystery, suspense, romance and humor. The characters are likeable and the storyline is well thought out. It has a good pace, with twists and turns that leave you reeling along with the characters.
In Dirty Little Secrets, we meet J.J. at a time in her life where she is really worn down by life. In A Dirty Shame, she starts to feel like she might finally be finding her way, but a massive secret that is uncovered at the end (yes, there is a wicked cliffhanger) will definitely leave J.J. rethinking some of her new affirmations. And of course, she is going through all of this while trying to solve a few murders and running a funeral home.
Jessica’s Recommendation: If you like romantic mysteries, then I highly recommend this series. I rate both books one and two with 4 out of 5 stars.
