Sales Team
Ruben B. Ontiveros, CPC, has proudly represented Texas Service Life Insurance Company for over 20 years. He began as an agent, then transitioned to various roles at the home office before becoming the Vice President of Sales/Senior Sales Director.
Ruben has been a member of TFDA since 2008, TSFA since 2013, and certified as a Pre-arranged Consultant by NFDA since 2011. Over the past 20 years, he has been recognized as Sales Director of the Year by Texas Service Life in 2011 and 2022. He was also nominated for Supplier of the Year by the TFDA Southeast Texas Chapter in 2013–2014 and by the South Texas Chapter in 2016–2017, winning the state’s highest award in 2017. Remarkably, he is the only recipient from South Texas to win this award in TFDA’s 131-year history.
He was a board member for the South Texas Chapter in 2012-2013, 2015-2016, 2022-2024, and also served on the TFDA board from 2017 to 2019. Additionally, he spent 5 years on the TFSA board, acting as President in 2018-2019.
Ruben consistently extends his deep appreciation to everyone in the funeral industry, including TSLIC, TFDA, TFSA, funeral home owners, directors, embalmers, and agents. He takes pride in serving them with honor, professionalism, integrity, and humility.
Armando Dominguez brings over 40 years of customer service and sales experience to TSLIC. With strong ties to the Houston metropolitan area, he is experienced in marketing to a bilingual clientele and crafting community outreach programs and services. As a Certified Preplanning Consultant from the NFDA (National Funeral Director Association) Armando continuously strives to support and mentor agents working in his area. He works closely with funeral home clients, to continually develop innovative approaches that will help grow and improve their business. Armando attended the Universidad Popular Autonoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP) and Grand Canyon University. In addition, he earned his certification as a marketing director at the prestigious Marketing Director Academy of Rexair in Troy, MI.
Miguel Ontiveros has a 5-year comprehensive background within the sales industry. Before joining Texas Service Life Insurance Company, he served as the District Sales Manager for the Houston, San Antonio, and South Austin regions, where his responsibilities included increasing market share, driving sales, and managing recruitment and training efforts. As a result, he became the youngest District Sales Manager in the company and received other recognition. Currently, Miguel is actively collaborating with funeral homes, clients, and agents to develop relationships and provide dedicated support to their businesses. He takes pride in representing Texas Service Life and looks forward to further contributing to its growth and success.
Carolina Dominguez is deeply committed to changing how people view funerals and the importance of celebrating life. She grew up and studied in Houston, Texas, building strong ties in her community. Carolina uses these connections to encourage open conversations about death and its realities. With compassion, she works hard to dispel myths about funeral planning, believing that everyone deserves a meaningful farewell. Carolina’s philosophy centers on celebrating life. She extends her connection with Texas communities beyond geographical boundaries, forging bonds through shared language and culture. Fluent in English and Spanish, she breaks down communication barriers, ensuring families receive support when they need it most. With years of experience as a licensed life insurance agent, Carolina provides personalized advice and solutions to meet each family’s needs. Her unwavering dedication has earned her respect in the funeral service industry, embodying empathy, education, and the celebration of life in all aspects of her work.
Shellie Hollis joined Texas Service Life more than twenty years ago, giving her the opportunity to participate in every aspect of the Company’s dramatic growth. She gradually acquired a broad knowledge of the pre-need business, including everything from sales and commissions to family service, client relations, claims, and Aftercare. Shellie can make anyone feel comfortable, whether a rookie preneed agent or multi-generational funeral home owner. She has the expertise to analyze and assist in crafting a preneed program that makes sense for any situation.
Marketing & Training Team
Araceli Longoria spearheads TSLIC’s marketing team, overseeing the development and execution of marketing strategies, campaigns, and brand messaging. Additionally, she drives the creation, implementation, and enhancement of company-wide training programs to align with organizational goals and business requirements. With experience spanning over 25 years, Araceli has successfully managed various aspects of Business Development & Operations, including product development, strategic planning, distribution, logistics, change management, and customer service. She holds a BS degree from The University of Texas at Austin and is proficient in Spanish.
Iris Delgadillo, Director of Training, is pivotal in ensuring that agents have the necessary knowledge, skills, and resources required for success. She began her career in the preneed industry as an agent in 2011 and then transitioned to the role of regional trainer in 2014. Recognized for her dedication, she became Director of Training in 2016. Throughout her career, Iris has personally helped thousands of agents refine their selling techniques and overcome challenges. Originally from Fort Worth, Iris continues to actively promote preplanning funeral arrangements. Her passion for guiding families navigate preneed funeral arrangements has brought greater peace of mind to hundreds of families during difficult times.
Renata is our Bilingual Communications Specialist and Training Coordinator. She was born and raised in Chile where here professional background was in Broadcasting. Since coming to the U.S. over 12 years ago, her focus has been on training. Her strong communication skills, cultural competence, organizational abilities, and her commitment to fostering learning and development make her a great resource to our agents on their journey to success. She lives by the motto: We came to this World to serve, so we should find the path to make ourselves useful in any field.
Nici Pando is a graphic designer in the Marketing Department since 2019. She has over 6 years of experience in digital, print, and web design. Her creativity and skills have helped TSLIC with their current rebranding, as well as helped many of our clients with their marketing needs. Nici graduated from Texas State University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising.
Logan Rundquist is a graphic designer in the Marketing Department since 2020. Her professional experience includes experience in the photography, theatre and marketing industries. She specializes in branding projects, creating print and digital materials, video production, and designing immersive training materials. With a background in Studio Art and a BA degree from Baylor University, she brings a blend of artistic skill, design expertise, and creative thinking to her work.
