Jessica’s Book Review: Today Only by D. Love

Today Only

Book Description: In life, there are times you are granted a miracle. It may not be the one you wanted exactly, but it will be the one you need. It will prepare you for the next step in your journey and help you learn to accept the life you are given, even if that life can be heartbreaking.

Jessica’s Review:
This is perhaps one of the most beautifully touching books I’ve read in a very long time, and knowing that it’s based on a true story just makes it even more poignant. The characters are real, relatable, and get you emotionally invested right from the start. They take you on an emotional rollercoaster through their trials and tribulations as a family who has to deal with a loved one being diagnosed as terminally ill. It sends a very powerful message: live life to the fullest while loving to the greatest capacity of your heart.

This book really stays with you and helps put so many things in your own life into perspective. It also helps you to notice and appreciate the little things and not take them for granted.

I don’t want to give anything away, but I will say that I would highly recommend this book to everyone. I really believe the message is universal and jumps across several, if not all, genres. I would also recommend having a box of tissues handy as it really is an emotional ride.

Jessica’s Recommendation:
I give this book 5 stars. In my opinion, this is a must read.
